Meet Jussi ”Focus” Sirviö – Flow Mo Crew Legend and Finnish Breaking Pioneer

Who is Jussi ”Focus” Sirviö?

Jussi ”Focus” Sirviö is one of the most influential figures in Finnish breaking and a founding member of Flow Mo Crew. For more than two decades, he has represented Finnish breaking at some of the world’s most important breaking competitions, hip-hop festivals, and international breaking events..

I have known Focus since 2000. During that time, I have watched him develop from a talented young B-Boy into one of the world’s most respected dancers, judges, and ambassadors of hip-hop culture. His part of Flow Mo Rockers crew was fundamental.

I first met Jussi ”Focus” Sirviö in Finland in 2000. Even then, it was easy to see that he was an exceptional dancer. His creativity, musicality, humility, and technical skills made him stand out.

Over the years, I have followed his career closely. Today, he is recognised as one of the leading figures in the international breaking community, and has become a world class B-Boy.

Flow Mo Crew and the Nordic Breaking Scene

Since our first meeting, our paths have crossed at many international events. I also invited Flow Mo Crew to Sweden for Scandinavian Superjam and the Stockholm Streetdance Festival. The influence on the Nordic Breaking Scene has been fundamental.

The crew always impressed both dancers and audiences. Their performances combined originality, musicality, precision, and a deep respect for authentic hip-hop culture.

Between 2000 and 2005, we also participated in several editions of the URB Festival at the Kiasma Theatre in Helsinki.

While Focus performed with Flow Mo Crew, I appeared with my own crew, Movesperminute. We shared stages, showcases, theatre productions, and cultural events during an exciting period for Nordic street dance.

Those years helped shape the Scandinavian breaking scene and created friendships that have lasted for more than two decades.

Freestyle Session, B-Boy Summit and Monster Battle Korea: International Breaking Events

Our international journeys continued in 2004 when we were both invited to Freestyle Session and the B-Boy Summit in Los Angeles. These events are among the most respected gatherings in breaking and hip-hop culture.

Two years later, we met again in South Korea at Monster Battle. Focus competed as an invited B-Boy, while I had the honour of serving as one of the international judges.

As a founding member of Flow Mo Crew, Jussi Sirviö has represented Finland around the world for more than twenty years.

Throughout his career, Jussi has taught breaking workshops, judged international breaking competitions, and inspired dancers across Europe and Asia. As a result, he has inspired thousands of dancers and helped promote authentic breaking and hip-hop culture to new generations.

His reputation is built not only on exceptional skills but also on humility, professionalism, and integrity.

Why Jussi ”Focus” Sirviö Is One of Finland’s Greatest Breaking Pioneers

Looking back on more than twenty-five years of friendship, I believe Jussi ”Focus” Sirviö has played an important role in the history of Finnish breaking.

His achievements as a competitor, performer, judge, and educator have earned him worldwide respect. More importantly, his influence extends far beyond competitions.

Today, Focus continues to inspire dancers across the globe through his dedication to breaking, hip-hop culture, and the values that define the community. In my opinion, that is why he remains one of Finland’s greatest breaking pioneers
